Day in and day out, our lives at UDS revolve around helping people with disabilities live safe, happy, independent lives. It’s our life’s passion. But unless you have a friend, family member, or associate with a disability, chances are, you might not realize just how many challenges they face every minute of every day. And the many important services they require, without which they often are forced to leave their homes to live in a care facility.

 People of all ages and all walks of life, despite their amazing courage, have to rely on others because of their disabilities. And they rely heavily on UDS. So, armed with big hearts, an innovative spirit, extraordinary knowledge and experience, and a proven track record of helping people with disabilities, we’re always there for them and their families. But, sadly, the people who need our services can’t always afford them. This is where you can make a meaningful difference.

Your generosity helps support what otherwise would not be possible

As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on individuals and businesses to help us provide life-enhancing services to people with disabilities, the elderly, and veterans. Truth is, many of our services are made possible only through the generous contributions of caring people like you. We kindly ask that you open your heart and make a generous gift that will help us help these deserving people live lives of happiness and dignity, in their own homes.

Give large, give small...give of yourself

Every gift is important. And you can take comfort in knowing that 94 cents of every dollar goes directly to services and programs that benefit people with disabilities. There are many ways to contribute, too! Through a gift of cash, by purchasing an item from our “Shopportunities” collection, by becoming a corporate partner in any of a number of innovative ways, through workplace giving, by adopting a planned giving strategy, through our capital and endowment campaigns, by volunteering, and much more. We touch so many people in so many ways, enriching lives right here in our community. And you can tailor your gift to where your passion lies.

• UDS General Fund
  Support the work of UDS in helping people with disabilities, veterans, and the elderly live more independently. Specifically, to the UDS Independent Living Resource Center, which helps individuals navigate the maze of public and private services, and supports in-home personal care, care management, accessible home modifications, durable medical equipment, and other services.
• Kids With Diabilities
  If you’re all about putting smiles on the faces of younger folks, your gift can be directed to support the various sports, recreation, and arts programs that UDS offers to help kids with disabilities live fuller and happier lives – getting out more often, being active, and honing their socialization skills.
• UDS Service Dogs
  If you’re a dog lover, your gift can go toward the support of these amazing canines that bring critical daily practical help, hope, and happiness into the lives of people with disabilities. The cost to train and place a single service dog is upwards of $20,000.
