Volunteering your time
Nothing is so satisfying as helping another person to live a happier and fuller life. Your gift of time, energy and love can have an important impact on deserving people in your community.
Volunteering your time at special events, fundraisers, and in other ways helps UDS better serve the needs of people with disabilities and the elderly. Without the generous contribution of time and energy from our volunteers, many of the important services of UDS would not be possible. They are also critical to educating the community about the needs of individuals with disabilities and to creating awareness of the many UDS services available.

Medicaid regulations are requiring a policy change in how some consumer-directed attendant care services are paid for. The change will reduce the amount UDS is paid to provide services. This could make it financially impossible for UDS and other provider agencies to deliver services after the proposed changes are implemented.
