Administrative Assistant – UDSF

General Summary

Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides clerical support services to UDSF staff.  Responsibilities include administrative tasks including but not limited to: providing back-up coverage for the receptionist responsibilities, creating the Connection newsletter, and administrative duties.  The Administrative Assistant will ensure effective and efficient customer service to internal and external customers.


High school diploma or GED required.  Associates Degree, or college courses in related field preferred.  1 year of Administrative Support required, 2 years in a Support role preferred.


Two or more years of administrative support experience.  Experience with In-Design a plus.

Additional Qualifications

Excellent phone skills; strong command of the English language.  Types a minimum of 45 wpm.  Excellent letter composition and grammar skills.  Effective organizational skills.  Must be detail oriented, accurate, and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Good computer skills including word processing and database applications.  Use of Microsoft Office required.
