Administrative Assistant – PT – UDS Service Dogs Program

General Summary

Under the supervision of the UDS Service Dogs Program Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides clerical support services to the program.  Responsibilities include administrative tasks including but not limited to: maintaining dog, client, applicant and volunteer files; preparing packets for new client interviews and new volunteers; preparing and maintaining quarterly volunteer event calendars, setting up events/calendars; and scheduling annual Public Access Tests for working dogs.  The Administrative Assistant will ensure effective and efficient customer service to internal and external customers.


10am – 3pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with some flexibility depending on the needs of the program.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required.  1 year of Administrative Support required.

Additional Qualifications

Excellent phone skills; strong command of English language.  Effective, organizational skills.  Must be detail oriented, accurate, and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Good computer skills including word processing and database applications.

Must enjoy being around dogs and have no known allergies to dogs.
